The course is specifically designed for candidates looking for career development or starting out on an environmental research career; following intensive instruction in essential field and analytical skills such as site survey, biodiversity assessment and geographical information systems, the students conduct an extended research project, which allows the course to be tailored to an individual’s specific needs; students are encouraged to develop independent research and analytical skills in their own field of interest; for employed candidates, the focus may be integrated with existing professional interests to directly enhance career development.
