8 units of study; the units offered in year 1 involve the planning, assessing and evaluating of the teaching and learning process, which enables students to understand how to interpret curriculum requirements and plan their teaching sessions; students also learn how to implement relevant teaching and learning methods and develop effective assessment and evaluation processes; in year 2 the units involve examining and critically discussing current issues and initiatives in the post compulsory sector; students also develop an awareness of the standard of professional competence required in a teaching and learning situation.
