This course is designed to provide the edge when it comes to securing that vital first position in a highly competitive world; on completion of the programme, students should be able to; demonstrate a thorough understanding of design procedures and standards of professional practice; be able to set up and manage a small design business or work as a creative designer with either a print production or new media specialism; be able to plan and manage budgets; work effectively both independently and as a member of a team; be able to manage projects from initial briefing, through the design process to production and implementation; and make a dynamic and professional contribution to the design world.
