The mechanical course looks at the principles which underpin the design and operation of mechanical engineering systems, including strength of materials, power transmission and dynamics and computer-aided design; the manufacturing course looks at the principles, methodologies and techniques that are used in process planning and scheduling and in-depth study of computer-aided manufacture and computer control of machine tools.
