The course has been developed to provide students with a strong foundation in biological knowledge and understanding together with training in the basic practical and laboratory techniques used by the bioscience industries; studies cover the theory and practice of cell biology, biochemistry and microbiology combined with a range of optional modules in animal science, plant science, soil science, biotechnology, crop production and mechanisation; as preparation for employment, skills in information technology, numeracy, communication and working with others are developed throughout the course.
