The foundation year aims to build a firm base of: intellectual and practical knowledge and skills; experience; confidence; and a portfolio of work, for progression to specialist study for an honours degree in: art; design and related media (beginning with an induction week during which students orientate themselves towards higher education study, and to drawing and design processes, problem analysis, location work, research methods and time management).
