The course provides students with the knowledge of the processes by which the fashion world operates, thus supporting their future career; the creative process starts with the initial design concept and inspiration, followed by collection planning and continues through fabric, toile, pattern, sampling, construction techniques, garment prototypes, fittings, and ends with the final collection; each stage requires its’ own skills and expertise, yet is linked to the all the other processes specific to its market level; students are introduced initially to the complete fashion cycle and this is then followed by the focussed specifics of production and management of the creative process; the relationship between the designer and the creative team and those responsible for the production on the collection underpins the process; specialist areas include Gerber technology and digital pattern production with computer-aided design, the creative production process of fashion prototypes and the methodology behind sourcing for production; the course offers the complete management package.

Epsom campus: Epsom is a friendly and cosmopolitan area located on the edge of the beautiful Surrey Hills. Situated only 30 minutes from London it offers the perfect location to live and study. You can enjoy the lively bars and restaurants in the town a five minute walk from the campus or take a short bus or train journey to Sutton, Kingston or Wimbledon.

Farnham campus: Farnham is a bustling, creative market town in Surrey, full of striking Georgian architecture, bohemian bars and quirky shops. Just under an hour by train to central London, Farnham is the ideal place to study.

Rochester campus: Just 45 minutes from London by train. With its beautiful riverside and amazing views, it is no surprise that Rochester is the most famous out of the five Medway Towns. As well as a historical and literary heritage, the town offers a wide choice of restaurants, bars and cafés, fused by a radical arts and music scene and vibrant popular culture.
