This course provide students with an understanding of information in organisations, the capacity to exploit existing software to design and develop information systems, and the technical ability to interact with computer programmers, software engineers, and computer scientists; the programme concentrates on the practical aspects of systems development and provides extensive use of RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems); there are also optional modules in Networking and Quality Management available; areas of study include: competitive Advantage of information technology; database development; information technology systems building; decision support systems; web database systems; information technology project management; social and professional issues in computing
