As the marketing landscape becomes increasingly digital and analytical, a new set of unique skills is required. The Master of Science in Customer Insights prepares students for an increasingly data-driven, analytics-focused marketing career, offering a broad introduction to marketing alongside in-depth study of research techniques, data analytics, digital marketing, and social media marketing. Students learn how to use data-driven customer insights to build effective marketing strategies. The program leverages the expertise of Katz’s award-winning marketing faculty, which continually ranks among the best in the world for research productivity (American Marketing Association). The 30-credit program is designed to be completed in nine months (August - April). The curriculum is comprised of core and elective courses currently offered to Katz MBA students. Other than an undergraduate degree, no prerequisites are required.

Two Pitt buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places: Allegheny Observatory (in Pittsburgh's Riverview Park on the Northside) and the Cathedral of Learning. Twenty-one of Pitt's buildings are contributing properties to the Schenley Farms-Oakland Civic Center Historic District that has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district.


The Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation has designated more than 15 Pitt buildings as Pittsburgh Historic Landmarks.
