Architects are involved in constructing new buildings and engaged in conserving historic buildings; architects work with and encourage the investigation of work by many disciplines engaged in construction including surveyors, construction and civil engineers and building services engineers ; the programme is structured around the design studio in which architectural design and communication and management modules are placed; in turn, these modules are surrounded by modules in architectural technology and environment, cultural context and professional context.
