A collection of over forty buildings, the Loyola's flagship campus Lake Shore Campus offers ample green space and lakeshore access, as well as several historical landmarks and lots of on-campus facilities for students. It serves as main residential and undergraduate campus; home to more than 4,000 students, and set along the shores of Lake Michigan
The university campus is site of Mundelein Center, a national historic landmark, and the home of a multipurpose fine arts and theatre programming center, including The Newhart Family Theatre.
There are over 200 student organizations for those at LUC to join. Loyola University Chicago is home to several Greek letter organizations. Among them are traditional social fraternities and sororities, professional co-ed fraternities, and cultural interest fraternities and sororities.
Besides, in the city of Chicago there is something fun to do around every corner. There are a lot of free events and festivals happening all over the city, especially on the weekends.
The campus is also situated near Chicago downtown, relatively close to shopping centers and various restaurants. There is a bus that can drive students on the weekdays.
LUC housing facilities include coed housing, apartments for single students, special housing for disabled students, special housing for international students.
Most of the residence halls and apartments managed by Loyola's Department of Residence Life are in the Rogers Park and Edgewater neighborhoods surrounding the Lake Shore Campus.
All freshmen are required to live on-campus. For them housing is guaranteed.

Loyola's Career Development Center offers services like resume critiquing and career self-assessment workshops to help students determine and articulate their strengths, values, and interests as they relate to career areas and jobs. Numerous career opportunities in the city contribute to the decision of 90% of Loyola students to remain in Chicago after graduation.
The Career Development Center serves all Loyola students and alumni as a source for career assessment, career education and assistance with the job search. The organization plays an active role in facilitating contact and relations among students, alumni and employers, as well as providing students and alumni with access to job opportunities.
Loyola has six campuses located across the Chicago metropolitan area, as well as a campus in Rome and guest programs in Beijing and Ho Chi Minh City. The Lake Shore Campus is located along the shores of Lake Michigan in the Rogers Park and Edgewater neighborhoods of Chicago, eight miles north of the Loop.
