You must have completed at least 12 years of general education or will be taking High School national examinations in the year of application in order to be considered for admission. Submission of IELTS, TOEFL, SAT (previously known as SAT Reasoning Test or SAT 1) and Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) scores are optional except for students with PRC Gao Kao qualification (i.e. students who will be taking Gao Kao in June 2015 and those who have already taken Gao Kao). Only scores obtained in the 2 years leading up to the application deadline will be considered.
In addition to fulfilling the minimum entry requirements, you must also satisfy the minimum subject requirements for the programmes you apply. Check the minimum subject requirements of the programme you wish to apply.
Applicants with qualifications as deemed fit by the university may be required to sit for an NTU Entrance Examination before a final decision on admission can be made. Please click here for more information.
Application is done electronically via the Internet. Before you start applying, you need to determine your application group. The application group you apply under corresponds to the qualification you hold.
You are presenting the Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'A' Level certificate. Application period: Day of A-level result release - April
You are presenting the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Application period: October - April
You are presenting an international qualification (e.g. Malaysia STPM/UEC, India Standard 12, Indonesia SMA UAN, PRC GaoKao, Vietnam High Graduation Certificate, etc) or other qualifications not specified in the preceding groups above. Application period: from October onwards
NTU has 2 campuses in Singapore. The main campus is a 200-ha residential, garden campus located in the south-western part of Singapore, near the Jurong West Extension area. This campus is easily accessible by two expressways, the Pan-island Expressway (PIE) and Kranji Expressway (KJE). It is also near the Boon Lay bus interchange and the Boon Lay Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station. NTU also has a campus in Novena, Singapore’s medical district.
By Car:
The university is served by two entrances: Jalan Bahar entrance and Pioneer Road North entrance.
By Bus:
Two public buses ply from the Boon Lay bus interchange to the campus, they are SBS bus service no. 179, 179A and 199. Each goes round the campus in a separate loop, starting and ending at the Boon Lay bus interchange.
By MRT:
Take the MRT East-West (Green) line and alight at Boon Lay MRT Station. Thereafter, take Singapore Bus Service (SBS) bus service no. 179 or 199 at the Boon Lay bus interchange located just next to the MRT station.
