Year 1: Modules have been designed to introduce the core language of this particular discipline and to promote three-dimensional thinking; through a series of exploratory exercises; students participate in seminars; workshops and guest lectures that introduce the theory and the professional communication skills needed to explore and express creative interior design ideas and concepts. Year 2: Modules introduce live projects and an international competition framework; students develop their interdisciplinary and conceptual skills; aligning them with the commercial constraints of budgeting; project planning; site and structure considerations and professional communication strategies; year 2 includes a faculty elective module chosen from a wide selection of subjects to add value to students professional profile. year 3: By this stage personal choice is a key factor; students are encouraged to focus their attention on developing a sustainable career plan; professional and creative skills are developed across branding; professional practice; contract law; health and safety; architectural diagramming and project management; the culmination of the year is a unique self-directed major project; which is exhibited to the public; an alternative pathway concerned with research; organisation and management of design is available at Level 3.
