Year 1: First year consists of projects using research; documentary and photo-journalistic skills; image construction and analysis is combined within the projects and dealt with within theoretical studies; students ability to use photography as a medium for problem solving within communications progress from basic photographic work to more complex projects. Year 2: Allows students to explore possibilities outside college with agencies and organisations; the accent on self motivation with students encouraged to take on commissioned work and pursue commercial routes for their own work. Year 3: Designed to build on and develop at advanced undergraduate level; students acquire an understanding of the professional practice of photography and the relation of research and development of ideas with the practical production of photographic material.
