The entrance requirements are designed to ensure that each participant has the appropriate academic qualifications and disciplinary preparation, sufficient work experience, and the necessary motivation to benefit from, actively contribute to, and successfully complete the programme. Applicant of PolyU Master of Business Administration (MBA) should Have a bachelor’s degree, a postgraduate degree or a postgraduate diploma in any area, or an equivalent professional qualification and a minimum of 4 years' experience in a managerial or professional capacity, and be proficient in English. In exceptional cases, be aged 35 or over with post-secondary qualifications and at least 8 years of experience in a senior managerial or professional capacity, and be proficient in English. If you are not a native speaker of English, and your Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is awarded by institutions where the medium of instruction is not English, you are expected to fulfil the University’s minimum English language requirement for admission purpose. If you are not a native speaker of English, and your Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is awarded by institutions where the medium of instruction is not English, you are expected to fulfil the following minimum English language requirement for admission purpose, unless otherwise specified by individual programmes concerned: A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 80 for the Internet-based test or 550 for the paper-based test; OR An overall Band Score of at least 6 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Individual cases will be considered on their own merit by the departments concerned*. Applicants may be required to attend interviews or tests to further demonstrate their language proficiency.
