Вступительные требования

Additionally, if your native language is not English you are required to take the TOEFL or IELTS test. Ap- plicants must receive a minimum score of at least 90 on the iBT TOEFL or at least 250 on the computer- based TOEFL. The mimimum IELTS score is 7. All applicants to Rice gradu- ate programs are required to have at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 grading scale. If your institution uses a di erent grading scale, you can convert your GPA.

Расположение

Houston has two airports: William P. Hobby (HOU), 11 miles to the south of campus and George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), 24 miles to the north. Intercontinental is a hub of global travel. Hobby is a hub for regional, domestic travel. Together they offer 1,000 flights a day in and out of Houston.


Most major rental car companies have locations at both airports. SuperShuttle and taxis provide ground transportation services from both airports.


The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, (METRO) provides bus and rail service from destinations around Houston. There is a METRORail stop across the street from the main entrance of the Rice campus. The rail line travels up and down Main Street, serving downtown, the Texas Medical Center and Reliant Park.
