The course aims to provide students with an understanding of the leisure industry and the knowledge and key skills required for a career within the sport and recreation sectors; it considers a range of leisure activities and how these meet the needs of increasing numbers of participants; the specialised management skills required are developed at degree level; it begins with the study of consumer studies, communication and financial and business management through case studies and on-site visits, which explore a variety of sport and recreation pursuits.
