The degree has been designed to study both the horse and rider as athletes; this course is for students who wish to improve equine sporting performance, management and welfare of both the leisure horse and the equine athlete; equine sports science integrates both academic and professional development including an in depth study of key disciplines such as equine biomechanics, equine nutrition, equine sports medicine and ethology; the course balances academic study and practical exercises as students divide their time between the University of Wolverhampton and Rodbaston College.
