In the first 2 years of this course students study the foundations of psychology and sociology including the theoretical frameworks and practical research methods that both disciplines use to investigate, analyse and interpret human behaviour; they also learn relevant information technology skills and develop an ability to present and communicate sociological and psychological research data; in the 3rd year students are given a choice of topics across disciplines of sociology and psychology, and in the 4th year they formulate and complete a research project on a topic of their own choice which culminates in the completion of an Honours dissertation.
