The university occupies a large 1,000-acre campus on the banks of the Brazos River near to Austin. The Baylor campus is considered one of the most beautiful in the country. On-campus resources such as campus events, dining halls, libraries, and classrooms are all within reach, making it easy to be involved in Baylor community.

In 2014, a new $260 million football stadium – McLane Stadium – was opened on the university's campus which was designed by architecture firm Populous, who are known for designing the Yankee Stadium in New York.

The student community at Baylor University is bound together largely by religion and service. Each semester, students donate a collective 12,000 hours of time to service projects through a one-day program called Steppin’ Out. Students can volunteer year round through the school’s Urban Missions, which coordinates service projects in the local community, and Global Missions, which sends students abroad. 

The student body is also active in faith-based activities. Each year, students lead Be The Change, a week of speakers, breakout sessions and events that give religion a global focus. Freshmen are required to live on campus and must also take two semesters of Chapel, attending worship services every Monday and Wednesday. Students and faculty gather daily for a campus prayer at noon, and weekly for free ice cream floats during "Dr Pepper Hour."

Baylor University offers 260 clubs and organizations, 42 of which are national and local sororities and fraternities in which students can participate. Each club and organization falls into an array of categories to fit the needs and interests of all students: academic, Greek life, multicultural, religious, representative, service, special interest and spirit/sport.

Off-campus there is Cameron Park, which is gorgeous in the spring, as well as movie theaters and the usual things around Waco. There is also a bowling alley and game room on campus in the student union building. There are countless places to eat in Waco and there is a couple square blocks with fast food places galore.

Baylor has an Office of Access and Learning Accommodation, through which all student accommodation requests are processed. 

Housing options include coed housing, men's housing, women's housing, apartments for married students, apartments for single students, special housing for disabled students, special housing for international students, wellness housing (alcohol/drug/smoke-free), and theme housing.

Baylor Office of Career and Professional Development help students and alumni achieve "Success Beyond Baylor" through career exploration, professional development, and employment resources. They work with students to identify career interests, map out a strategy to find internships and jobs, and coach on how to interview with confidence and craft effective résumés. They are the on-campus specialists for résumé writing, interview strategies, networking, and professional branding and development.
