Campus is home to many services: parking, housing and dining, fitness and recreation, clubs and other student’s facilities.

Structured and unstructured, traditional and nontraditional recreational opportunities are offered throughout the school year.

The University of Mississippi libraries, which include the main J.D. Williams Library and the Science Library, house nearly 4.43 million volumes of books and journals.

Web-based services provide instant, 24/7 access to vital information, enabling students to apply for admission, register for classes, check grades, pay bills and submit class assignments online. Students and faculty have access to millions of library materials via the Internet. Each residence hall room includes a direct connection to the campus network as well as wireless service, and many public areas on campus provide wireless service.

Despite the relatively small number of Greek-letter organizations on campus, a third of all undergraduates participate in Greek life at Ole Miss. The tradition of Greek life on the Oxford campus is a deep-seated one.

Ole Miss has a large community of fraternities and sororities that about 35 percent of both male and female students join. Sports are another popular outlet for student athletes and fans alike, as the Ole Miss Rebels sports teams compete in the NCAA Division I Southeastern Conference.

Approximately 5,300 students live on campus in 11 residence halls, two residential colleges and three apartment complexes. All freshmen (students with less than 30 credit hours) are required to live in campus housing their first year unless they meet certain commuter guidelines.

All rent received from students pays for housing functions such as utilities, staff salaries, furniture, supplies, repairs, renovations and new buildings. The cost of on-campus housing ranges from approximately $4,000 to more than $8,000 (the highest price being that of the newly renovated Village apartments) per academic or calendar year, depending on the occupancy and room type. Students with more than 30 credit hours have the option to live off campus in unaffiliated housing.

In general, housing options include men's housing, women's housing, apartments for married students, apartments for single students, fraternity/sorority housing, wellness housing (alcohol/drug/smoke-free). The university also provides off-campus living services.

The Career Center’s mission is to assist students in the successful transition from academia to the world of work.  In order to carry out this mission effectively, the Career Center provides services for all students, from the first year through graduation.  These services include:

• Career counseling and testing.
• Access to a career resource library containing a wide variety of information regarding career planning and development, occupations, graduate/professional schools, employment opportunities and employer literature.
• Computer and internet-based applications designed to assist students with a diverse range of career-related issues.
• Outreach activities (workshops, seminars) via Career Center staff and Peer Career Educator Program.
• Personal assistance with resume and cover letter development, job search strategies, interview techniques, career exploration and graduate/professional school information.
• Opportunities to connect with employers for part-time jobs, internships and full-time positions.
• Career & Life Planning course for junior- and senior-level students.
