Providing an opportunity to choose a variety of specialist modules that interest them, this course allows students to build up a unique programme of study while gaining a universally recognised degree; the current version of this course carries full exemption from the British computer society (BCS) professional exam and project requirements, and partial CEng accreditation – continuation is subject to a further review by BCS; no specific knowledge of computing is required as students receive a comprehensive grounding in fundamental topics of computer science; for all our computer science and computing degrees, we run a common first year allowing students to become familiar with different computing topics so that they may then choose the most appropriate route for them.
