Total undergraduate costs for nine-month academic year, 2016–2017 are about 305 500 RUB for a non-resident living on-campus. This sum includes tuition and fees - about 217 000 RUB per year, books and supplies – 3 500 RUB, room and board – 35 000 RUB, personal and transportation costs – 50 000 RUB.
The campus of Tsinghua University is located in northwest Beijing, in the Haidian district, which was designated for universities and other academic institutes.
It is located on the former site of Qing Dynasty royal gardens and retains Chinese-style landscaping as well as traditional buildings, but many of its buildings are also in the Western-style, reflecting the American influence in its history.
